A narrow opening, notch, slit, or aperture, as a keyway, a hole in a door, or a window in an airplane. (From Webster’s New World College Dictionary, 4th Edition.) A computer-based gaming device that accepts cash or, in “ticket-in, ticket-out” machines, paper tickets with barcodes that are scanned to earn credits. It usually has a theme and includes symbols that align with the theme. Some slots have additional features, such as scatters that trigger game bonuses and wilds that can substitute for other symbols to form winning combinations.
Some players believe that slots pay better at night, but this is not true. Instead, it is a result of the fact that more people play at these times and the increased hold decreases their time on the machine.
When a slot is identified, it must be mapped to a slot type that defines how the bot will process the information contained in that slot. To create a slot type, click Add Slot Type in the left pane. A slot type can contain multiple scenarios, but using more than one scenario per slot can yield unpredictable results. You can also use regular expressions to map a value to a slot type. This allows the bot to recognize variations of an entity value, such as flight codes.
